London Areas

1. The City

The Roman first settled in this oldest part of London. This  area is covering almost 2,6 kilometers, it's possible to see the history of Rome. This district is the center of finance at the moment. Historic buildings, many old bar here.If you want to see this area, I suggest to go to St. Paul Cathedral which is the highest point of this area. In this area you can find and visit Temple of Mithras, Mansion House, Monument, Lyoyds's Building, Bank of England Museum, Guildhall, Museum of London, Barbican Centre and of course St. Paul's Cathedral.

2. Westminster

All of London's glorious life in this region. You can see the crown worn by the kings and queens of Westminster Abbey in this area. London's best shops and resturants around in this region.In this area, you can see and visit Bachingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Parlement House, Churcill War Rooms, Horse Guards, Royal Academy of Arts, Handel House Museum, The Wallece Collection, Marble Arch and Shepherd Market.

3. South Bank

You can see the city with London Eye or you can walk Westminster Bridge to Tower Bridge.  This area offers you unlimited  fun. You can join in festivals, listen to live music, do jogging, skateboarding crawl, or just walk along the river. I have to admit this area is my favorite, i lived in there when i was in London. By the way I suggest Borough Market for food lovers :). In this area you can find and visit Imperial War Museum, London Eye, Southbank Centre, National Theatre, Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe, Clink Street, Southwark Cathedral, Butler's Wharf.

4.Trafalgar Square&Soho

Would not be wrong to say that the entertainment center of the city. Trafalgar Square is the meeting place for the people of the city. From here, you can pass to Leicester Square, and you can watch the latest movies or you can get half-price theater tickets. If you love Asian food can visit China Town. In this area you can find and visit Trafalgar Square, National Galery, National Portrait Gallery, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Leichester Square, Soho Square, China Town, Shaftesbury Avenue, Piccadilly Circus.

5. From Covent Garden to Ludgate Hill

Once upon a time, this area was the priests garden, And now, It has become the area of street artists and the people in the visit here every day. Region draws attention with good food and entertainment facilities. In this area you can find and visit Covent Garden, St. Paul's Covent Garden, Royal Opera House, London Transport Museum, The Strand, Courtauld Gallery&Somerset House, Royal Courts of Justice, Sir John Soane's Museum, St. Bridge's Church. 

6. Bloomsbury

This is the intellectual heart of the city. Britain's largest museum and library located in this area. A lot of the embassy and diplomats house is here. In this area you can find and visit St. George's Bloomsbury, The Cartoon Museum, Museum street, British Museum, Pollock's Toy Museum, The Foundling Museum, Britsh Library, St. Pancras Station.

7. Kensington & South Kensington

Kensington is in the west of Hyde Park. Kensington is famous with gothic style museums, parks, gardens and town houses painted white.Royal Albert Hall, is home to major international orchestras and artists' performances. In this area you can find and visit Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Brompton Oratory, Royal Albert Hall & Albert Memorial, Science Museum, Serpentine Gallery, Holland Park, Serpentine Gallery, Kensington Palace, Leighton House Museum.

8. Chelsea, Belgravia, & Knightsbridge

These three neighborhoods of London, is home to the wealthy. Streets full of stylish boutiques. In this area you can find and visit Harrods, St. Paul's Church Knightsbridge, Tate Britain, Saatchi Gallery, King's Road, Royal Hospital Chelsea, Carlye's House, Chealsea Physic Garden, Chelsea Old Church.

9. East London

Traditionally the home of port workers and migrants. It's one of the best multicultural place in England. In this area you can find and visit Tower of London, Tower of Bridge, Brick Lane, Whitechapel Gallery, Cutty Sark, Canary Wharf, Royal Observatory, Old Royal Naval Collage, National Maritime Museum.

Visiting London, England

London, between cities in the world in terms of cultural richness and entertainment is one of the leading places. London has a population of 7.5 million, and the 27 million tourists visit the city every year.

In the northern part of the city, The Tower of London, St. St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Parliament House, and buildings such as Tate Britain, while The southern part of the city, The Globe Theatre, the Tate Modern is the cultural institutions.

The city is famous for its ever-changing weather, so I would recommend keeping it with you an umbrella and raincoat.

Finding Your Way Around London.

To walk around London, it can be confusing. Some streets are very similar to each other, so, I will make some suggestions to find your way around on foot. Londoners takes London A-Z pocket-sized street guide, before going out the sides. If you lost and you don't have a map, you find a bus stop. You can find a local map almost every bus stop in London. And don't trust the river to find your way :)).

Vehicles goes on the left side of the road . For this reason, before moving across you should look the right side.

The World's Greatest City, London

London

As I said, perhaps the world's best city in the world. I have visited London in the past month that I try to promote you as best I can. If you are first time in London, I suggest that you choose to Heathrow airfield. As for the cause of the easiest and fastest way to get to the center of London, I would say. Once you are at Heathrow airport in mind, I begin my essay by describing the way in order to reach the city center.

Follow the signs at the airport to get to the underground.You have to buy Oyster card or travel ticket to use The London Underground. To get ticket, you can use the machines or you can ask officers near the entering how to get ticket.
